The finest wool comes from regions with a cool climate and high altitude where sheep roam freely. We are careful to only source from farms that never practice mulesing.
The sheep are raised for their wool, not to eat.
Sustainably Sourcing
We partner with Wool Co-ops where the fleece is milled locally, reducing our carbon footprint. Our white wool currently is sourced from ranches in Montana and South Dakota while our coloured wools are from Patagonia and Europe.
Eco-Conscious Felting
Before the final hand felting, we use a natural fabric wash (Forever New) to remove residual lanolin.
Passionate Felters & Dedicated Wool Artisans
We consider our Felters as Wool Artisans. They are paid a living wage + health benefits and many have been with us from the early days. They still form each dryer ball by hand, one at a time.
